Três trópicos da tropicália
baby
Bethânia had commissioned a song for which she already had a title and most of the overall idea for the lyrics: “Baby” is what she wanted it to be called. And she interested that the words should mention a T-shirt that said, in English, “I love you.” She even said that the song should ent with “Leia na minha camiseta, baby, I love you” (“Read my T-shirt, baby, I love you”). It was a way of commenting, with Oswaldian love and humor, on the presence of English phrases in the songs everyone heard – and on the clothes everyone wore.
