Tropicalism is here to assert things with great conviction. But I’m not so sure that they have so much conviction about what they are doing. It is this imposed conviction that I don’t accept. I don’t think it is long-lasting in historic terms. It seems to me that when this book is published, people won’t be talking about Tropicalism anymore.
